Daniel Krasner

Daniel Krasner is an urban data scientist and retired colorguard director based in Atlanta, Georgia, where they’ve lived since 2017. Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Daniel holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Hampshire College and is set to graduate with an M.I.S. in Urban Studies from Georgia State University in Spring 2025.

Daniel’s journey into the marching arts began at Urbana High School, where they traded percussion and piano lessons for colorguard. Daniel performed with the Madison Scouts in 2013, followed by two seasons with The Cadets from 2014 to 2015, and Atlanta CV in 2018. In the winterguard world, Daniel performed with Blessed Sacrament in 2014, Alter Ego in 2017, and Paramount in 2018. Since the 2023 season, they’ve been teaching for Edge Independent, helping the next generation of performers succeed in the activity they love.

Outside of colorguard, Daniel enjoys biking around Atlanta, attending live music concerts, weightlifting, and experimenting with new recipes from local farmers' markets. They are passionate about creating maps and graphs and learning about housing policy interventions, anti-gentrification strategies, and fostering livable communities.
