Jonathan Maydwell

Jonathan Maydwell is a Pennsylvania native with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and a minor in Music from Millersville University. With over fifteen years of experience, he has served as a consultant and clinician for various marching band programs in southeastern Pennsylvania. He also took on a leadership role as a section leader and soloist in the Crossmen trumpet section from 2005-2006. In 2014-2015, he became a brass staff member for the Reading Buccaneers eventually assuming the role of brass caption manager, a position he held until the 2017 season. In 2017, Jonathan obtained his Elementary Teaching Certification from West Chester University and taught at the elementary level for six years. Currently, Jon is a Learning and Development Specialist at Wesley Enhanced Living in the Greater Philadelphia area. Jon plays trumpet with the Chester County Concert Band and is an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He is enthusiastic about rejoining the Crossmen and looks forward to making a contribution to the brass program while connecting with the corps' east coast heritage as the organization enters its golden anniversary.
